Camping Koren is one of the oldest camp in the Soca valley, set on peaceful location on the left bank of Soca and short walk (500m) from centre of town Kobarid. Camp is opened all year long and offers not only camping on arranged camping pitches, but as well rental of spacious wooden apartment houses, glamping wooden hut and wooden igloo.
Campsite accepts the Avtokampi Camping Card, which will make camping holidays more affordable. The discount is listed at the price list of the campsite - order for free and get camping card by email.
Slovene campers have in selection Naj kamp Adria 2020 awarded campsite Koren as third in category of smaller camps in Slovenia. Few years ago, Alan Rogers have selected camp as 2. European camp in category of camps with active holidays. It is the only camp in Slovenia that has gained eco certificates Slovenia Green and EcoCamping.
Campsite is middle-sized and can host up to 360 people. Pitches are arranged on two larger plateaus, first close to reception (best suitable for campers with campers and trailers), the other part is a bit higher in the woods. The novelty is 6 completely new pitches equipped with electricity, water and drainage.
Camping Koren Kobarid offers all infrastructure you need for pleasant stay, such as sanitary facilities, laundry, camper supply station, mini shop, bar and children's playground. In last seasons they have renovated main sanitary facilities next to the reception and built new one in the upper part of the camp. There is as well sauna and common kitchen available - in summer season some local specialities are cooked in the camp, while restaurants are in town Kobarid.
Guests can in Camping Koren stay in one of the 6 wooden apartment houses that can host up to 6 persons (4+2 people). Each house is individual unit and has kitchen, living room, bathroom, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each, balcony and porch.
Here you will find many options for active holidays connected to the nature, hills and water. You can swim in a bit warmed river Nadiza, raft, fish or try kayaking on Soca. For lovers of hiking camp Koren is great starting point for shorter as well as longer trips. The most popular are the Soca river canyon, the waterfall of the Kozjak stream, gravel pits, Napoleon’s bridge and the restored front-line from World War l.
Camping Koren is offering great fitness, you can play also table tennis, beach volley, try bowling, climbing or rent an electric bike. Camp was also selected for ‘camp very friendly to cyclist’.
