Pula hosts one of the most beautifully decorated Advent markets in Croatia each year, and visitors have been especially impressed by the ice rink set inside the Roman Arena. This year, the festivities will be expanded with the addition of the Pula Eye Ferris wheel. On New Year’s Eve, the band Gustafi and singer Neno Belan will perform live. Advent in Pula 2025

Pula is the largest city in the Croatian region of Istria and is perfect for visiting a festively decorated city and enjoying winter camping. Just outside the city, Camping Arena Stoja is open year-round, offering well-maintained camping pitches, modern heated mobile homes, and heated sanitary facilities. A city bus connects the campsite directly to the town center.

This year, Advent in Pula begins early - on Sunday, November 30 - with the opening of the first festive stalls, the lighting of decorations, and the launch of the Pula Eye, a 28-meter-high Ferris wheel which will be located in the Karolina parking lot near the Arena. There will be 21 gondolas, each accommodating four people. The ride will last 7 minutes, with tickets priced at €8 for adults and €6 for children. The Pula Eye will be open until January 11.

The ice rink inside Pula’s Roman Arena will be open from December 5 to January 11. This year, the rink will be even larger, covering 900 m² of ice surface—300 m² more than last year. The ice rink is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the price for skating is €6 (on weekdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., the price is €4), skate rental is €3.

The main children’s holiday activities will take place in Graza Park, featuring creative workshops, performances, and visits from Santa Claus and Grandfather Frost. A festive train is also expected to run through the city in the second half of December

​​Concerts and Festive Gatherings – Advent in Pula 2025

From December 12 to January 6, concerts will take place at Portarata Square, while Giardini Park will be dedicated to socializing and enjoying food and drink stalls.

New Year’s Eve celebrations in Pula traditionally begin at midday with a special “New Year at Noon” event. Young musician Lima Len will perform at Portarata Square, followed by an evening concert by Gustafi at the same location. Meanwhile, Neno Belan & Fiumens will perform at Forum Square.

Camping Arena Stoja, Pula - open all year round

The partially renovated Camping Arena Stoja will open this winter in the southern part of Pula. This year, the campsite has new pitches, one sanitary building has been renovated and is now heated, and modern mobile homes for 4 + 2 people are available.

The location of the campsite is interesting for visiting festive Pula, as there is a city bus from the reception which takes you to the city centre in 10 minutes.

The campsite also has a restaurant and bar open during the winter, and a renovated heated sanitary facility.

In winter, sunny camping pitches are available and the price for 2 people ranges from € 30 (depending on the type of pitch). A 15% discount on the pitch price is offered on the Avtokampi camping card until 30.12.

Camping Arena Stoja has mobile homes for 4 + 2 persons, completely newly built in recent years. All have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen with living area and a large terrace. There are two types of mobile homes with 46 or 57 m2 of space, and all mobile homes are equipped with heating via air conditioning units.
