Advent in Pula and winter camping at Arena Stoja

In Pula, in the south of Istria, everything is ready for a festive December. On Sunday 1 December, the Advent in Pula event opens and runs until 6 January. There will be lots of events, stalls and concerts, including for the first time at the Roman Arena, where a large ice rink will be set up from 6 December, and a concert by Petar Graso on New Year's Eve. Camping Arena Stoja is located close to the town and offers well-equipped camping pitches and mobile homes for rent.

Advent in Pula brings a surprise this year, as for the first time, part of the festivities will take place in the Arena itself. There will be an ice rink, stalls and a light presentation of the Legend of the Fairies to create a special atmosphere. In addition, 111 illuminated christmas trees will be placed on the snow-covered stone stands.

The lights will be switched on in Pula on Sunday 1 December at 17:00 and Advent in the Arena will start on Friday 6 December, when the ice rink will also open.

​All the action in festively decorated Pula will take place at various locations around the city. Children will also be able to visit the park grada Graza, where a Santa's house will be set up, various shows will be staged and stalls will be full of the smell of fritillaries.

Evening concerts will mostly take place in Portarata Square, but on New Year's Eve, Pula will be a lively place in the morning, with a big fritaja in the market square, additional music and a concert in the evening by the famous Croatian singer Petar Grašo and the band Elemental.

Free parking will be available in public car parks throughout the city after 17:00 during the week and all day on weekends and public holidays.

The ice rink in Pula Arena will have an area of 600 m2 and will be open from 6 December to 6 January, every day from 10am to 10pm, and until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Ice skating will be available every full hour for 45 minutes and the price will be € 3. Ice skates can also be rented for € 2.

A free festive train will run around Pula from 21 to 30 December from 16:00 - 20:00 during the week and from 10:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 20:00 on weekends. The train will connect the locations where the festive events will take place and the full route can be seen in the photo gallery.

Camping Arena Stoja, Pula - open all year round

The partially renovated Camping Arena Stoja will open this winter in the southern part of Pula. This year, the campsite has new pitches, one sanitary building has been renovated and is now heated, and modern mobile homes for 4+1 people are available.

The location of the campsite is interesting for visiting festive Pula, as there is a city bus from the reception which takes you to the city centre in 10 minutes.

The campsite also has a restaurant and bar open during the winter, and a renovated heated sanitary facility.

In winter, sunny camping pitches are available and the price for 2 people ranges from € 25 to € 40 (depending on the type of pitch). A 15% discount on the pitch price is offered on the Autocampi card until 30.12.

Camping Arena Stoja has mobile homes for 4 + 2 persons, completely newly built in recent years. All have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen with living area and a large terrace. There are two types of mobile homes with 46 or 57 m2 of space.
