Basic information

Camping Vira - island Hvar is located 4 km from the town of Hvar, in a small pebbly bay surrounded by terraced pitches, with a few mobile homes in the upper part.

Most of the campsite is covered with pine trees and offers plenty of shade. In the upper and central part of the campsite there are about 90 pitches for guests with caravans and motorhomes, and in the lower part there are 75 smaller pitches for tent campers.

The beach at Camping Vira is set in a central pebbly bay, next to which there is also a restaurant, which is only open in July and August (11am - 6pm). There are also several rocky beaches close to the campsite, where everyone can find their own place to enjoy the sun and the sea.

The sanitary facilities have been partially renovated, and there is also a supply station for camper vans and a laundry.

For recreation it is possible to play volleyball and mini golf, children have smaller playground. In the morning it is possible to buy bakery products, fruit and vegetables in the camp, and the shop is in Hvar.

As well know and attractive city of Hvar is so close, it is the main entertainment in the evening. You should not miss the largest and most prestiges yachts that are moored in the city's port. Bus runs from camp to the city centre more times a day.

* The price of the person and the plot depends on the location - more expensive for camping closer to the sea. The unparcelled part of the campsite by the sea is arranged in terraces, so only tents can be pitched there, and in high season vehicles must be parked in the reception's car park.

Free internet is available in the reception area, restaurant and beach bar.

Camping Vira also offers rent mobile homes Comfort (24m2) for 4 + 1 person and Premium (24m2) for 4 people.

All mobile homes are equipped with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a spacious terrace. The houses are air conditioned and are 100-150 meters away from the sea.

Dogs are also allowed in certain mobile homes.

    Zelo prijazno osebje, ki nam je pomagalo izbrati super parcelo v senci. Tudi sicer ima kamp veliko sence. Plaža je odlična za majhne otroke: cel dan senca, majhni kamenčki. Veliko mira, zelo lepo diši po borovcih, morje ekstra čisto. Trgovinica ima vse nujno, a so cene x3 od tistih v Plodinah ipd.
    Restavracija/bar odpre šele ob 10h, no strežejo od 10.40, ker je le Dalmacija... Škoda le, ker zaprejo že ob 19h (ali malo čez). Imajo "animacijo" v hiški na plaži: 3krat na teden imajo otroci v hiški na plaži čez dan na voljo ustvarjalne pripomočke (barvanje) in karte, zraven je občasno en mladenič/animator.

    Minusi: cene (sicer enake po vseh kampih na otoku razen Mina), lokacija v zalivcku, od katerega levo in desno ni nič, oz hrib in narava, športni rekviziti in igrišče so bili, a so v propadlem stanju, do Starega grada in Jelse je 30, oz 40 min voznje. Sicer je vmes mesto Hvar, ampak tam je vsa ponudba prilagojena obiskovalcem z jaht.

    Bilo je super, le predrago - celoten otok, sploh pa okolica mesta Hvar.

    Kamp na super lokaciji blizu mesta Hvar, vecina parcel sencnih. Promovirajo sicer mini club za otroke, ki naj bi bil vsak dan pa je v 10dneh bil le enkrat. Urejenost sanitarij pod nivojem. Zastarele in slabo ociscene. Tudi sam kamp oziroma parcele rabijo malo osvezitve. Trgovina slabse zalozena. Osebje prijazno.​​

    Kamp je za miren oddih super vendar dokaj zanemarjen. Restavracija je za silo, športnih objektov razen igrišča za odbojko ni. Za majhne otroke ni primerno, ker ni poti za igro in kolesarjenje. Sanitarije so katastrofalne. Čistoča sanitarij je obupna, pogosto brez papirja, mila. Tople vode po 17:00 ni bilo več. V kampu nas je motilo ker ni nobenega reda in sicer ljudje puščajo avtomobile povsod pa če tudi zaprejo kakšno dovozno pot. Tudi zunanji kopalci se vozijo po kampu z avtomobili. Trgovina je zelo slabo založena. Na plaži je zaradi zunanjih gostov zelo huda gneča. Kamp bi bil super, če bi lastniki vsaj malo truda vložili. Definitivno se sem ne bomo več vrnili, ker to je bil za nas najslabše urejen kamp.​​

    Tukaj smo z avtodomom, družina s tremi fanti (7,11,12), ki pa se rahlo dolgočasijo, ker najraje igrajo nogomet in kolesarijo, kar pa je zaradi lege ( terasast kamp ) inemogočeno. Imajo igrišče za odbojko in nevzdrževan mini golf. Animacija za mlajše otroke poteka čez cel dan na plaži in je videti da se imajo fajn.
    Sam kamp je urejen, sanitarije vedno čiste, voda topla, morje lepo in čisto, plaža pa nabito polna zaradi zunanjih obiskovalcev, ampak nas to ne moti, ker gremo na plažo samo v morje in takoj nazaj na parcelo. Beach bara in restavracije nismo preizkusili. Do mesta Hvar smo vzeli taxi-kombi, 20eur v eno smer. V mestu smo jedli večerjo na elitni lokaciji (terasa ob parkiranih jahtah) za zelo solidno ceno in najboljšo postrežbo (gratis dobili predjed, otrokom so na koncu prinesli zastonj palačinke…)
    Karto za trajekt obvezno rezervirati dosti v naprej za kamperje, mi smo hoteli oditi en dan prej, da raziščemo še ostale kampe, pa je bilo že vse zasedeno.​​
