As the Christmas & New Year holidays are approaching, we have checked which campsites in Croatia will offer festive camping, added the Advent events program and, of course, the camping prices.
Christmas markets, food, drink, and craft stalls, concerts, and ice rinks are already a staple of all major cities, where the festive atmosphere builds throughout December, culminating in outdoor New Year's Eve celebrations.
As every year, most of these activities will be available in the towns of Poreč and Pula in Istria, Krk and Mali Lošinj in Kvarner, and in the largest Dalmatian cities such as Zadar, Šibenik, Split, and Dubrovnik.
More and more campsites are deciding to open their doors during this time and allow guests to ring in the New Year by the sea. Campings in Istria - New Year's camping near Poreč and Pula
Camping San Servolo, Buje - open all year round
Wellness Camping San Servolo near Buje is not located by the sea, but it offers a beautiful view of the coast in the distance and the opportunity to swim in heated pools and enjoy saunas. The outdoor pool is heated to 30+ degrees in winter. For adults only, there is also an indoor pool in the building, where massages are offered, as well as a larger outdoor jacuzzi and a fitness center. The campsite has an excellent restaurant, where they serve local San Servolo beer.
The campsite has beautifully landscaped camping pitches, some with jacuzzis, and Diamond Luxury even has a private wellness area (sauna, jacuzzi, bedroom, bathroom). Camping prices for New Year's Eve are from €85 per night for 2 people.
Camping Polidor, Funtana - open all year round
An excellent small family campsite that also offers pitches with a jacuzzi, hammock, and dog fence. The campsite has a wellness center with a sauna and jacuzzi, which can be reserved for private use for two. The campsite has heated sanitary facilities and a children's playground, and you can also rent mobile homes with a jacuzzi or heated pool in front of the terrace.
Poreč is only a 5-minute drive away, where there will be plenty of activities throughout the month: an ice rink and concerts on weekends, as well as an outdoor New Year's Eve celebration.
The price of New Year's camping is €35 per night for two people, including a pitch. Electricity is charged at €0.26/kWh, and there is also a tax and registration fee. Children under 12 stay for free, and dogs are charged €3.00.
Valamar Camping Istra, Funtana - open until 9.11. and than 19.12. - 4.1.
A large campsite with excellent children's entertainment and indoor playrooms. The campsite will also host a New Year's Eve party with live music and the now almost traditional New Year's Day swim, which will take place on January 1 at 12 noon.
The restaurants and smaller wellness center will be open during the holidays, and guests will have access to transportation to the Valamar Hotel Diamant near Poreč. The hotel offers an indoor heated pool, wellness center, and fitness center. Due to the large number of guests, advance booking is required.
The campsite is great for walking or cycling by the sea, and there are sports fields, an attractive mini golf course, and excellent entertainment at the Maro Club.
Pitches will be available in the southern part of the campsite, where there is a heated sanitary facility. Camping prices for New Year's Eve for 2 people start at €45 per night.
Camping Porto Sole, Vrsar - open all year round
The Porto Sole campsite in Vrsar, open all year round, is ideal for New Year's camping. The campsite's advantages include its proximity to the town and numerous walking trails along the sea and cycling opportunities. Vrsar will organize an Advent program, which usually includes an ice rink in the town center.
On December 25 at 11 a.m., the Porto Sole campground will host its traditional Santa Claus swim, preceded by festive entertainment, creative workshops, and a gaming room for children. New Year's Eve celebrations with live music will begin at noon on December 31.
Winter camping is possible on all pitches, and there is a heated sanitary facility with wellness bathrooms with saunas or jacuzzis on the upper floor, which can be rented.
Porto Sole campsite has prepared a special offer for winter camping: with an Avtokampi card, an overnight stay on a Standard plot for 2 people, a dog, and electricity costs €21, while all other plots (up to 6 people) are eligible for a 10% discount.
Camping Arena Stoja, Pula - open all year round
Campsite Arena Stoja is open all year round, and its location is perfect for visiting Pula, as there is a city bus service from the reception to the city center, or a 45-minute walk if you prefer to walk.
The restaurant and bar will also be open during the winter, and there is a renovated heated sanitary facility.
In winter, choose one of the sunny pitches. The price of camping for two people ranges from €28 to €38 (depending on the type of pitch). Until December 30, Avtokampi Card holders receive a 15% discount on pitches.
Campsite Arena Grand Kažela - open all year round
This large campsite south of Medulin has many sunny pitches, and in recent years all the sanitary facilities have been renovated, with one building also heated. It offers several bars and restaurants, entertainment for children, and in winter there is also a playroom for them. The campsite has a beach for dogs and numerous sports facilities, and its location makes it ideal for cycling trips around Medulin and to Kamenjak.
For the New Year, camping prices for pitches ranging from 90 to 150 m2 start at just €28 for two people, with a €4 surcharge for dogs.

Campsites in Kvarner - Advent & New Year in Krk and Lošinj
Campsite Omišalj - island Krk - open all year round
Every year, the towns of Omiš and Njivice on Krk decorate their town centers and organize a varied holiday program with an Advent market and concerts.
The nearby year-round campsite Omišalj is modernly equipped and offers guests sunny pitches and mobile homes. The campsite has a mini zoo and a children's playground, but we are still waiting for information about the operation of the restaurant and shop in the campsite.
The price of camping with an Avtokampi card for 2 people on Silver pitches with electricity starts at €27. There is also a special offer of 7 nights for the price of 6. Prices for pitches by the sea for 2 people range from €35 to €39 per night. Children under 12 stay for free.
Valamar Camping Ježevac, Krk - open until 4 January
The town of Krk is definitely where most of the action takes place on the island at the end of the year. There is a Christmas market and concerts on the weekends, as well as a festive program from Christmas to New Year's Eve and an outdoor New Year's Eve celebration.
Valamar Camping Ježevac is located right next to the town of Krk, which is great for anyone who wants to attend the events. It is expected to be open until January 4, and then reopen at the end of March. During the holidays, the campsite's restaurant will be open, there will be some children's entertainment, and guests will have access to heated sanitary facilities.
The price of camping for New Year's Eve for two people and a dog on a Comfort pitch with electricity is from €27 for Avtokampi card holders. On pitches closer to the sea, prices with the card start at €32. Children up to 12 years of age stay for free.
Campsite Bor, Krk - open all year round
Above the town of Krk is the Bor campsite, which is open all year round. It is about a 10-minute walk from the town. Guests have access to well-maintained pitches and heated sanitary facilities and new wellness (Finnish and Turkish sauna, fitness center). You can also buy olive oil and wine at the campsite.
The price of camping with a camping card for 2 people on Basic and Standard pitches is €25. Children up to 12 years of age stay for free.
Camping Čikat, Mali Lošinj - Island Lošinj - open all year round
Mali Lošinj probably has the most diverse New Year's Eve celebrations of all the Kvarner islands, starting at the end of November. There will be many concerts and other events, and of course, New Year's Eve celebrations with Joy band.
Campsite Čikat will organize its traditional New Year's camping, decorating the campsite and preparing a dinner with live music in the restaurant on New Year's Eve. For many years now, guests at Camping Čikat have been asked not to set off fireworks, which means that the location is also attractive to dog owners.
The location is great for walks by the sea, cycling, visiting Mali Lošinj with the Apoksiomen Museum, and enjoying the beautiful nature. Guests at campsite Čikat also have the option of free swimming in the pool of the Punta Hotel in Veli Lošinj.
The campsite has well-maintained pitches with two heated sanitary facilities, a shop and restaurant, a sports park and a fitness center. An indoor playground will also be open for children. The winter price for camping in Čikat is €26,80 for 2 people, including a pitch with electricity. The price applies to all types of pitches, and children up to and including 12 years of age stay free of charge. The surcharge for an additional person is €6.40, for a dog €2.10, and a city tax is also charged.

New Year camping in Dalmatia
Camping Falkensteiner Zadar - open all year round
There is a lot going on in the center of Zadar in December, with concerts and market stalls, and a big New Year's Eve celebration.
New Year's Eve celebrations with fireworks will also be organized at the Falkensteiner Premium campsite and the nearby hotel. The campsite is located in the northern part of Zadar, providing guests with easy access to the city. The campsite will open its wellness center for adults (small pool and saunas) for New Year's Eve, and there is also a hotel near the campsite where campsite guests can swim in the indoor heated pool - additional charge aprox. €10 for adults and children over 6 years of age (younger children free of charge), additional charge for adults for hotel wellness with pool €27).
The campsite has heated sanitary facilities, and the price of camping with an Avtokampi card for 2 people on a basic plot with electricity is only €27. The surcharge for children aged 5 is €7. On the Diamond plots, which are closest to the sea, the price of camping for two people starts at €54.
Campsite Amadria Park Sibenik - open all year round
The campsite is located 6 km south of Sibenik. Last year, the indoor section of Aquapark Dalmacija was opened as part of the tourist resort, which includes a children's section with slides and water games and an adult section with a swimming pool, saunas, and a fitness center. There is also a restaurant and a children's playroom in this section. Camping guests are entitled to discounted tickets - for persons taller than 120 cm, the price is €20 from Sunday to Thursday and €30 on Friday or Saturday, while for children between 90 and 120 cm tall, the price is €10, and €15 on Friday or Saturday.
There is a city bus from the camp to the center of Šibenik, or you can also go by bike or taxi.
The campsite Amadria Park Sibenik has beautiful pitches by the sea, renovated sanitary facilities (one building is heated), and several restaurants and bars. Nearby is also a Dalmatian village that showcases traditional life from the past and offers gourmet delights. The price of camping for New Year's Eve for Avtokampi card is from €27 for two people on a plot with electricity, water, and drainage.
Camping Stobrec, Split - open all year round
Campsite Stobrec is located in the southern part of Split and is connected to the city center by a local bus, or you can also get there by bike. From the end of November, Split will host Advent celebrations with stalls and concerts, and on the last day, a New Year's Eve party will be organized in the city center.
During this time, the Stobrec campsite will have a wellness center with saunas and jacuzzis, as well as a restaurant where festive events will take place.
The price of winter camping at the Stobrec campsite for holders of the Avtokampi camping card for 2 people is only €27 - the price applies to pitches in zones B and C. Children aged 5-12 pay an additional €4, and a tourist tax is also paid extra.
Campsite Lavanda, Orebić - Pelješac - open all year round
This excellent and modern campsite near Orebić offers sunny terraced pitches. The campsite is open throughout the winter and is located just outside Orebić. It has well-maintained, heated sanitary facilities, and a special feature is the mobile homes with jacuzzis or heated pools.
The price for camping during New Year's is €23 per night for two people on Standard, Comfort, Premium, or Superior (children up to 12 years old and 1 dog free of charge), while camping in the first row by the sea costs €28 for 2 people. They also offer a winter flat rate from November 15 to March 31 for €2,000.
Camping Lupis, Loviste - Pelješac - open all year round
Marija and Đani ensure that every guest enjoys camping and often extends their stay by a few days. The camping pitches are located among olive trees, with excellent sanitary facilities nearby, and are characterized by peace and beautiful natural surroundings.
The price of camping with a camping card is €25 for two people, with children aged 3-12 paying an additional €6.

Campsite Terme Jezerčica - Donja Stubica - open all year round
The beautifully landscaped smaller Terme Jezerčica also has a modern campsite. Guests have access to indoor pools and wellness facilities, and can also stay at the hotel.
Campsite Vita - Terme Tuhelj - open all year round
Campsite Vita at Terme Tuhelj, with its modern and heated sanitary facilities, allows you to swim in indoor pools and enjoy the wellness center. This spring, the indoor pools and saunas were completely renovated, and a new restaurant and children's playground were added. For New Year's Eve, they are preparing a celebration at the pools or in the hotel (at an additional cost).The price of camping for two people is up to €53 for New Year's Eve, and they offer a 15% discount with an Avtokampi camping card.
