Advent in Zadar is one of the most beautiful in Croatia. This year, the lights will be switched on on November 27, and the festive events will last until January 1. The excellent Camping Falkensteiner Premium Zadar is open all year round near the city, offering camping and mobile home rentals. During the New Year period, they will also organize entertainment and the wellness center will be open, additional laso option of swimming in the hotel swimming pool.

Advent in Zadar 2025

On Thursday, November 27, an Advent market will open in Zadar, which will offer many events until January 1, especially evening concerts and, of course, outdoor New Year's Eve celebrations.

All this will take place in the old town center, where the streets and squares will be decorated and the stalls will smell of warm drinks. This year, the event will be expanded, and in addition to the main venue at Trg Petra Zoranića and Trg pet bunara, another location will be added on Zlatarska Street, in the immediate vicinity of the Zadar market.

Creative workshops and entertainment will be organized for children on weekends, a free Christmas train will run around the old town, and an outdoor ice rink will be set up again this year at the sports hall in Višnjik.

On Saturday, December 27, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a 5 km Christmas Zadar charity run. The route will run from the old town (Puntamika) to Borik and back to the central Advent market. Registration >

New Year's Eve celebrations in Zadar will begin at 11 a.m. with a children's party at the market, while an Italian singer will perform a concert of Lady Gaga songs in the square. In the evening, there will be a concert by local bands Ritmika, Selected, and Loveroom at the market, while Italian band The Rockstar Show will perform their greatest rock hits in the square.

Ice rink and funfair on Visnjik

The Višnjik Sports Center will set up an ice rink under a tent, with a funfair and trampolines for children, as well as festive stalls.

The ice rink will be open every day from November 24 to January 11 between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., while the amusement park will be open on weekdays in the afternoon and evening hours and on weekends from noon onwards.

The price for ice skating will be €7, and skate rental will be €2. During the week, lower prices of €5 for skating will apply between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., and on weekends between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Camping Falkensteiner Premium Zadar – open all year round

The best choice for visiting Zadar during the holiday season is the Falkensteiner Premium Zadar Campsite, located in the northern part of the city and open all year round. The center of Zadar is about a 40-minute walk away, but you can also take city buses 5 and 8 or a taxi - Uber.

The campsite restaurant will also be open between December 27 and January 2 and a festive program will be organized for New Year's:

• Tuesday and Wednesday, December 30 and 31 - festive fair with hot drinks at the campsite

• Wednesday, December 31 – New Year's Eve at noon, starting at 11 a.m., face painting, live music, toast at 12 p.m., children's dance, treasure hunt, raffle at 4 p.m., Gala dinner at the camp restaurant from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (menu - reservation phone: +385 91 220 66 85 or mail: restoran.amore@falkensteiner.com, and additional payment required – €70 for adults, €30 for children aged 7 to 13, free for children under 7)

• Friday - Sunday, January 2 and January 4 - creative and cooking workshops, evening mini disco and music quiz

Camping guests will also have access to swimming and wellness facilities:

- the campsite offers a small wellness center with a sauna and a small pool, which will be open from December 27 to January 2. It is primarily intended for adults, but will be open to families every day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

- the hotel's heated swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) + large wellness center is also available to camp guests free of charge on days when the camp's wellness center is not yet open. Otherwise, there is an additional charge of €10 per person for swimming and €20 for use of the saunas.

Camping and mobile home rental prices

Camping Falkensteiner Premium campsite has many sunny camping pitches located near the sea, and guests have access to heated sanitary facilities. Camping prices with the Avtokampi camping card start at €27 for 2 people on Blue or Sky Blue pitches with electricity. Prices for pitches closer to the sea start at €56. Children aged 6 to 12 pay an additional €10.

You can also rent modern Adria mobile homes for 2, 4, or 6 people, which have a kitchen, bathroom, and terrace, and are heated by air conditioning. Prices for renting mobile homes in December for 2+1 persons start at €70, larger homes with two bedrooms for 4+1 persons start at €95, and homes with three bedrooms for 6+1 persons start at €110.

Rental prices for mobile homes for the New Year's period start at €130 for 2+1 persons, €160 for 4+1 persons, and €185 for 6+1 persons.
