Basic information

Hidden in the heart of Salento, La Vecchia Torre is set on the Ionian coast and surrounded by a lush pine forest. It is 3.5 km from the centre of Gallipoli. This strategic location allows you to visit the sandy beaches, explore the historic villages and the rich cultural heritage.

The campsite offers mobile homes, bungalows and pitches. There are approximately 120 of these, all with electricity and plenty of shade.

The beach, which has a gentle slope, is directly next to a pine forest. There is a free section and a furnished area with sun loungers and umbrellas (12 €/day). The campsite offers a wide range of entertainment from July to early September, including morning exercise classes, dance workshops, sports tournaments, cabaret evenings and an open-air cinema. A mini-club with educational and fun activities is aimed at the youngest children.

For sports enthusiasts, there are football, tennis, mini golf and beach volleyball courts. The restaurant serves authentic Salentine cuisine, while the pizzeria also offers takeaway food. The bar serves breakfasts, snacks and drinks.

Guests can enjoy a mini-market with fresh food, a market, laundry facilities and free WiFi in common areas. The campsite organises excursions, and bikes, scooters, cars and boats can be rented. The campsite provides a shuttle service (for a fee) to Gallipoli and other destinations, and a bus stop close to the campsite provides additional connections.

For day trips, we recommend exploring the surrounding area or visiting Lecce (40 km).

Mobile homes description

Happy Camp offers Happy Comfort units with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, which can accommodate 4+1 people. The 25 m2 house has a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a wooden terrace which is partially covered.

The campsite is pet-friendly, but pets are not allowed in the mobile homes. WiFi is available in common areas.
