Basic information

La Scogliera in Santa Cesarea Terme, south of Lecce in the far south of Italy (at the "heel of the boot"), is a small campsite with pitches, mobile homes and bungalows that appeals to lovers of tranquillity, nature and a wild coastline with cliffs. It is surrounded by beautiful, dense South Mediterranean greenery, offering plenty of shade. The steep coastline gives the campsite an outstanding view of the open sea. There is a restaurant (including fast food), a larger and a smaller shop, a kiosk and a hairdresser - all of this is either on site or nearby.

The pitches at the campsite are small, set on a terraced slope. Some have sea views, others have views of the forest. There are nicely decorated sanitary facilities, which have recently been completely renovated, and even offer private bathrooms. Pitches have electricity, a fridge is available for guests and there is an electric charging point for e-vehicles on site.

Dogs are welcome on the pitches and in the mobile homes.

The surrounding area is also very interesting. Santa Cesarea Terme is home to caves and natural pools, and the steep rocky coastline is interspersed with paths and steps leading down to the shore.

There is also a sandy coastline near Marina di Andrano, with the beautiful Grotta Verde (Green Cave), and the town of Castro, with the Zinzulusa Cave. The castle of Otranto is also worth a visit, as is Lecce, the largest town in the region.

Mobile homes description

The camp offers several types of mobile homes, 56 units in total, some with sea views, others with forest views. Among them are the Tahiti and Fiji mobile homes. Tahiti is the larger unit, with 35 m2 of floor space and three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The mobile home can accommodate 6+1 persons. In front of it there is a large covered terrace with sea views. The air-conditioned holiday home has a fully equipped kitchen with living area.

The second type of house (Fiji) is slightly smaller (25 m2) and has two bedrooms and 1 bathroom - sleeps 4+1 persons. It is also fully equipped (kitchen, air conditioning, terrace) and offers a view of the forest.

Pets are allowed in all units.

WiFi is available at reception.
