Camping Velenje was renovated and reopened in 2022 and is now open all year round. In addition to the campsite pitches and the unmade area for tents, they also offer modern Adria mobile homes for 4-6 people for rent.
NEW - they offer a rent of large glamping tent for 4 people, smaller tents for 2 people and a floating house for 4 + 2 people.
Camping Velenje accepts Avtokampi Camping Card, which will make camping cheaper. The discount is published in the campsite price list, The camping card can be ordered on our website.
Camping Velenje is located next to Lake Velenje and is about 1 km outside the centre of Velenje, which is also accessible by bus.
The renovated Velenje campsite has about 120 pitches along the lake, a completely new sanitary facility adapted for children and people with disabilities, and a newly renovated restaurant next to the campsite.
The pitches are on a lawn, with a little more shade in places. The campsite is also dog-friendly, with a dog shower in the toilets and a dog bathing area by the lake.
The campsite also has a sports centre - ZOO Station, where SUP boards can be rented and surfing lessons are available on Lake Velenje.
Lake Velenje is a pleasant spot where a natural swimming area comes alive in summer and a cross-country skiing track is set up by the lake in winter. There is a completely new event space with a viewing platform, a boathouse, small sailing boats for hire, children's playgrounds, an aquapark, an inflatable mountain and a diving board for jumping into the water. The beach also offers a wide range of restaurants.
The surroundings of Velenje offer many hiking and cycling opportunities. There are many cycling routes, e.g. the route to Šoštanj, which is particularly suitable for families, or the newly built Štrekna cycling route, which runs to Mislinje and on to Dravograd. There is also a large skate park in the centre of Velenje.
Guests can also visit the Coal Mining Museum of Slovenia in the nearby campsite, where you will be lowered 160 metres underground by lift. Alternatively, you can take a walk to Velenje itself and visit the castle.

Zelo lepo prenovljen kamp, sanitarije so čiste, osebje na recepciji je zelo prijazno. Velenjska plaža zelo lepo urejena, veliko je kolesarskih poti, priporočam.
