Basic information

Camping Velenje was renovated in 2022, and is now open all year round. In addition to the arranged camping pitch and the non-parceled, they also offer the possibility of renting modern Adria mobile homes for 4 - 6 people.

NEW - glamping tents for 2 or 4 people, floating house for 4+2 people.

The location of the campsite Velenje is right next to Lake Velenje and about 1 km outside the center of Velenje, which is also served by the city bus.

The renovated Camping Velenje has about 120 camping pitches along the lake, a brand new sanitary facility adapted for children and people with disabilities, and a renovated restaurant open from the end of February 2023.

The campsite is also dog-friendly, as a shower for dogs has been arranged in the toilets, and there is already an area by the lake where dogs are allowed to bathe.

There is also a sports center ZOO station within the campsite, where you can rent SUP boards and surf lessons on Lake Velenje.

Lake Velenje is a pleasant spot, where a natural swimming pool comes to life in the summer, and a cross-country ski track is arranged next to the lake in the winter. The event space with a viewing platform has been completely newly arranged, the boat house has been arranged, small sailboats can be rented, there are children's playgrounds, an aqua park, an inflatable mountain and a diving board. There is also a wide range of restaurants on the beach.

The surroundings of Velenje offer many opportunities for hiking and cycling. Many cycle paths are still under construction, e.g. Velenje - The good and well-known cycling route Strekna, which is expected to connect Velenje and Dravograd by the end of 2023.

Guests can visit the nearby Velenje Coal Mining Museum, where you will be taken 160 meters underground by elevator. Or you can walk to Velenej itself and see the castle there.

Mobile home rental in Camping Velenje - near the lake, 8 modern mobile homes Adria are available for up to 5 people.

These are very spacious mobile homes with an area of 34 m2, equipped with two bedrooms (one with double bed), two bathrooms, kitchen and living room.

All units are air-conditioned and have a large terrace with an awning for extra shade. Linen and towels are included in the rental price.

Dogs are allowed in mobile homes.

Glamping description

Camping Velenje also offers glamping floating house with jacuzzi and glamping tents for rent.

The luxury floating house on the lake is for 4 + 2 people and is equipped with two bedrooms with the possibility to arrange extra beds. The house also has a kitchen, bathroom and a terrace where there is also a jacuzzi (extra charge).

The glamping tents are for 2 or 4 people and are equipped with a bed and a table and chairs in front of the tent.

Zelo lepo prenovljen kamp, sanitarije so čiste, osebje na recepciji je zelo prijazno. Velenjska plaža zelo lepo urejena, veliko je kolesarskih poti, priporočam.

Letos smo bili prvič na Velenjski plaži in v tem kampu in smo bili res pozitivno presenečeni nad vsem skupaj. Kamp še urejajo, ampak kar je pa že je pa zelo lepo urejeno (recepcija in sanitarije). Osebje je zelo prijazno in ustrežljivo. Lega kampa je super, takoj ob jezeru, ni pa ravno veliko sence. Letos kamp še ni tako oblegan se jo še da dobiti. Edina kritika je da bi lahko malo bolj redno čistili sanitarije, polnili milo in brisačke. Verjetno malo začetnih težav.
Skratka super zamenjava za prenatrpane kampe na Bledu, Bohinju ali obali. Priporočamo.
