One of the many campsites near Caorle, between the Gulf of Venice and the Gulf of Trieste, is Pra delle Torri. The area is extremely popular with both locals and foreign guests, boasting an endless sandy beach, densely packed with wooden piers, cafés and an endless number of umbrellas and sun loungers.
The Pra delle Torri campsite is one of the largest in the area, covering some 100 hectares and accommodating over 8000 guests. They can stay on pitches, in mobile homes and glamping tents, there are apartments and bungalows, and the resort even has a hotel.
There are over 1 000 pitches, varying in size, amenities and distance from the beach. Standard pitches are up to 90 m2 and have electricity, while larger pitches (110 m2 up to 150 m2) called Maxi Pitches, have not only electricity but also a water hook-up. Camping with tents is done in a free camping area of the campsite. In the last 2 years, the 3 main sanitary blocks have been completely renovated and have additional sub-units. They are divided into sections for children and adults, with disabled access, and certain areas of the toilets are heated in the colder months. In them (and elsewhere in the campsite) you will find washing machines, tumble dryers and a place to empty the chemical toilets.
There are so many activities in the camp that we don't know where to start. Take the pools: the first complex is the beautiful lagoon with its many curves, which, in the form of two connected figure eights, form a unit with slides, games, sprays and other fun elements, all surrounded by parasols and sun loungers. Not far away is a children's paradise: a heated pool with three pirate ships for children to climb and slide down. There are also 2 Olympic-size pools for more serious recreational swimming. A little further away from the pools, there is an impressive water slide complex: a speed slide, an open slide with a "funnel" in the middle, an enclosed spiral, a lighted tube slide... there's just no end to the fun.
Pools and slides are not all that Pra delle Torre is famous for: it is one of the few campsites with a real 18-hole golf course. In addition to golfers, sports enthusiasts will also find something to do: there are tennis, football, badminton, volleyball, handball and basketball courts. There is also a playground for young people to skateboard or climb.
Those who want to go to the beach, despite all the facilities on offer at the campsite, can choose from SUP, surfing, parasailing, etc., in addition to lounging on the warm sand.
After all the activities, you need to refuel: that's why you'll find 4 restaurants and pizzerias, 3 fast food kiosks in the form of caravans, and almost 10 other places for drinks and food: a café, a patisserie, several bars and a gelateria. If you still want to cook for yourself, you can buy everything from one of the shops or the market, where you can also get fish. You can also visit a massage parlour or a hairdresser.
For a day trip, of course, there's Venice, the beautiful countryside nearby and other places from Padua to Udine.
