Campsite El Bahira is located in north-west Sicily, near San Vito Lo Capo, on a small peninsula famous for Monte Monaco, which provides a beautiful backdrop to the campsite. It is a campsite with a capacity for about 1000 guests, with pitches, mobile homes and apartments.
The pitches are of a decent size, with electricity, suitable for caravans and motorhomes as well as tents. You will be well sheltered from the sun in a pine grove, and some pitches also have a canvas awning for additional artificial shade. The campsite has two toilets, where, in addition to the usual personal care facilities, clothes washing, a chemical toilet and caravan care are also available.
The campsite has 2 swimming pools: an Olympic pool and a children's pool. As they are slightly above the shore level, they offer a beautiful view of the sea, which is just a short walk away. An endless sandy and pebbly beach awaits you by the sea. The surrounding area is also ideal for hiking or climbing (we particularly recommend the Mount Monte Monaco) and cycling, which you don't need your own bicycles for as they can be hired from the campsite. The campsite is eco-friendly and organises various workshops on the subject, as well as maintaining its own flower and botanical garden. Of course, you can also take part in other activities aimed at both young and old, such as music nights and karaoke.
There is a restaurant/pizzeria and a small bar with drinks, ice cream and snacks.
The campsite is a little bit out of the way from the nearest towns, but you can still walk to the resort town of San Vito Lo Capo. If you're looking for a day trip, we recommend a visit to Trapani or Palermo, 100 km away.
