The Tuscan campsite hu Montescudaio is located on the west coast of Italy, just over 100 km from Florence and about 65 km south of Pisa, not far from Cecina. Tucked away in the woods, it's ideal for escaping the summer heat, but close enough to the coast that a daily dip in the sea is no problem - if you'll even miss the seawater with all the pools onsite.
The campsite can accommodate about 2500 guests and there are various pitches, mobile homes and glamping units available. There are 3 types of pitches: the smaller hu camp Easy, up to 90 m2 with electricity, and the hu camp Smart and Premium, up to 100 m2. The latter also have water and drainage. There are sanitary facilities adapted for children as well as for the disabled, and there are also a campervan care facilities.
We mentioned the swimming pools: the campsite complex consists of 4. There is a lagoon for soaking, 2 semi-Olympic swimming pools of 25 metres for swimming and a children's pool with a playground.
There are guided exercise classes for adults, as well as entertainment for children and young people. One of the cafés is right next to the pools, and there is also a restaurant and pizzeria, a fast-food kiosk, a takeaway, a well-stocked deli and a souvenir shop.
For sports enthusiasts, there are volleyball and football courts, you can play table tennis or rent bicycles to explore the surroundings, or ride all the way to the beach and swim in the Mediterranean sea.
We've already mentioned Florence and Pisa, but Siena is about the same distance away, and on the way to Siena you can stop in Volterra or San Gimignano, which are interesting enough to take a whole day to explore. The exceptional wine and other Tuscan delicacies probably dont even need mentioning, as they are certainly one of the main reasons to visit the region.
