Renovation of Arena Stupice campsite in Premantura brings new pitches and mobile homes

Medulin, in the south of Istria, which includes Premantura as a destination, is very popular with campers, as the campsites there are very varied. Arena Stupice is a campsite with excellent pine shade and a location right on the cape Kamenjak, which is easy to reach on foot or by bike. This winter, the campsite will be building new pitches by the sea and replacing the old mobile homes with new ones.

The popularity of South Istria among campers is evident from the number of overnight stays for this season. The region of Medulin and its surroundings is ranked fifth among Croatia's camping destinations with 1.1 million overnight stays.

Camping Arena Stupice boasts an excellent location and shade. It is located just outside Premantura and 12 km from the larger towns of Medulin and Pula.

Guests return to the campsite for its beautiful nature, mild climate and proximity to Cape Kamenjak, which offers a number of beautiful beaches, where there is a quiet corner even in high season. The campsite also has a dog beach.

The beach in the campsite itself varies from pebble coves to rocky areas, with a cove on the south side of the campsite offering some shade. Premantura is also popular with surfers and kite surfers due to the good wind.

New camping pitches by the sea

In recent years, Arena Stupice campsite has renovated its reception and some sanitary facilities, asphalted some of the roads, but otherwise it's much the same as it was 20 years ago.

Ahead of the 2025 camping season, which starts on 12 April and runs until 5 October, more than 100 camping pitches will be redesigned and all the old mobile homes will be replaced with new ones.

The central part of Arena Stupice is on a slightly steeper slope, which slopes down to the sea, so three terraces will be built in the first three rows, where 48 Luxury pitches will be built.

In addition, 66 Luxury pitches will be newly developed on the peninsula in front of the campsite.

All Luxury pitches will be equipped with electricity, water and drainage, making them particularly suitable for motorhomes and caravans.

As for the other pitches in the campsite, everything will remain the same with plenty of shade from the pine trees.

All the old mobile homes out, new ones in their place

The mobile homes in Arena Stupice were really old and one of the first mobile homes in campsites in Croatia. So they will replace all 110 mobile homes with new ones and install them in two locations.

There will be 62 new mobile homes at the seafront in the former zone 300, and another 48 mobile homes in the central area on the south side of the campsite.

All the mobile homes will be very spacious and will have an area of 40 m2 and an additional 17 m2 of covered terraces. They will be equipped with two bedrooms for up to 5 people, a living room with TV (an additional TV will be in the bedroom) and a fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge), two bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, and a second room with three beds and an additional bathroom.

There will be sun loungers on the terrace of the mobile home and puppies are allowed in the mobile homes for an extra charge. The rental price includes bed linen, towels and final cleaning.

The renovation plan also includes the installation of new children's playgrounds and the renovation of the toilets.

Sanitary building 1 in zone 100 by the reception will definitely be renovated, and there are also plans to renovate sanitary building 3 in zone W, which is also where most of the flat-rate visitors are. Sanitary facility No 2 has already been renovated and the others are expected to be refreshed.
