Peninsula Cavallino is well known tourist point just in front of the Venice that offers 15 kilometers of sandy beaches and various campsites. Among the best ones is camping Cavallino Village that is proud holder of the ADAC Superplatz award. Canmping Cavallino - a great campsite for families and dog owners

Camping Cavallino is usually open from April to early October, but this year they have decided to extend the season until 6 November.

The campsite is situated on a long sandy beach where the sea slowly descends, making it very suitable for small children who like to play in the sand and sand, and there are always plenty of shells on the beach. The location of the campsite is also interesting for a boat trip to Venice.

Camping Cavallino is part of the Baia Holiday group, which also has campsites near Trieste, in Sardinia, France, Spain and Lošinj in Croatia.

There are just under 500 camping pitches with electricity and water and around 400 mobile homes for 2, 4 or 6 people. In addition, they offer a few glamping tents for 4-6 people, and also rent apartments and bungalows.

The campsite also has children's playgrounds, an indoor games room, a sports centre with beach volleyball, football, tennis, mini-golf and a large swimming pool complex with outdoor pools, water slides and whirlpools, which is usually open from mid-May until the end of September.

In 2021, a modern wellness centre with an indoor heated pool, jacuzzis, saunas and massages was opened, mainly for adults. Families with children are allowed to use the indoor pool when the outdoor pools are closed (extra charge).

The campsite is very popular for dog owners, as there are showers for dogs, they are allowed in mobile homes and there is a marked dog beach in front of the campsite, which is quite rare in Italy

Regular prices for camping of 2 persons on camping pitch with electricity in spring and in autumn range from 45 to 80 €. In high seasons prices vary from 100 to 150 €. Concrete prices are available in the reservation system on the campsite's website.

Walks, jogging, cycling in Venice

The campsite Cavallino also has a good catering offer, as there is a restaurant, pizzeria and pastry shop with excellent ice cream. For those who would not like to cook, they also offer half board or full board service at their restaurant.

Camping in Cavallino is also interesting outside the summer season, as it offers many opportunities for walks by the sea and cycling along a well-maintained bike path. There is a lagoon near the camp, where more than 200 species of birds live, so don't forget to take binoculars with you, because with some luck you will also be able to see flamingos. Residents say the most opportunities to see them is around town Lio Piccolo. There are several cycling routes to the lagoon, and bicycles can also be rented at the campsite.

Holidays at Camp Cavallino can also be used for trips and sightseeing in Venice. From the port of Punta Sabbioni (6 km from the campsite - bus stop right in front of the campsite) several times a day there is a boat / vaporetto (lines 14 and 15, driving time approx. 40 minutes, one way price € 9.50 per person) to the center of Venice. From San Zaccaria Pietà Station, it is then just a 5-minute walk to the square and the Church of St. Marco. If you have additional day, we also recommend a boat trips to the island of Murano, which is famous for its glassware, and the island of Burano, known for its colorful houses and lace-making.
