Are you looking for peaceful holidays by the sea? Visit island Korcula, where local people will welcome you with open hands.

In the beginning of June  we visited Croatian island Korcula and its campsites on the eastern part of the island. Korcula is the best reachable by ferry from peninsula Peljesac. From mid-June on Korcula is as well connected with the mainland through line Drvenik – Korcula (check timetables and prices of ferries). Kampi na Korčuli

Firstly we visited north of town Korcula in direction of town Racisce. In this part of the island you will discover many villages, among which tree campsites are opened. They all have nice view  towards Peljesac and Peljesac canal that is well known for its wind, ideal for surfing. Here you will find peace, tranquility, clear blue sky and hospitable people who welcome open handed each guest. Detailed pictures, pricelists as well as videos of these camps you can find with click on each camp separately which shows you exact location of the camp as well - campsites on island Korcula.

Camp Oskorusica is located around 8 km from town Korcula. It has around 30 places for tents and some pitches for smaller caravan or camper. Pitches are arranged on a meadow and in the shade of olive trees. Guest can use electricity hook-up and pretty large grilling place. Sanitary block is now the most modern one, but was tidy as we visited it. We were pleasantly surprised that camp facilities free internet, which is rarity in Croatian camps. Beach that is from camp divided only by road is mostly stoned with smaller pebbled bays and smaller pears where you can moor your boat.Kampi na Korčuli

Kamp Tri Zala (by three pebbled beaches) is camp that can host up to 100 people. Half of the pitches are greatly shaded, while the other half is quite sunny. Access is pretty steep and is only appropriate for tents. Camp is located by the sea and has its own beach that is partly stoned partly pebbled. There is a shower on the beach.

Around kilometer on, closer to town Korcula you will find camp Vrbovica which is the largest and with best facilities on this part of the island. It is noticed that is has younger management and that they listen to the wishes of their guests. They added new parking place in the upper part of the camp, arranged some pitches especially for campers and added additional grid above the pitches that did not have any shade. They opened new bar and what is the most important – new reception and modern sanitary building. Beach is pebbled (sandy on some parts) and tidy – smaller mooring place is available. For kids they have children’s playground and trampoline arranged.

Camp Kalac is the largest camp on Korcula and can host up to 600 people. It is located by the main road, connecting ferry port with capital city. Pitches are arranged in pine woods that ensures great shade in all parts of the day. On some parts looks as trees and bushes are not well taken off, but on the other hand they provide some sort of privacy for guests. Camp is part of a tourist complex Bon Repos which gives their guests numerous options for sport (tennis, volleyball, mini golf, diving centre,..). It is around half an hour long walk along the seafront promenade Two sanitaries buildings are renovated and tidy. Beach is sandy, stoned and concrete; each will find something for himself.

Later on we drove to Lumbarda, where we visited two camps in the beginning of the town. Kamp Milina is located on the beginningof the bay, around family house, where also apartments are rented. Camp is designed in terraces under thick shade which is intended mostly for tents. Sanitary facilities are smaller and clean, tidy. Camp does not have its own beach, but right next to it you will find public town beach. However, we recommend you to half few minutes walk to one of the beaches around the camp or even drive to well known beach Przina that is 2km away.

On the other side of the bay Camp Jurjevic - Laguna is arranged. It has 15 pitches under olive trees. Some pitches have electricity, guests can use refrigerators, grill, can rent a bike and canoe. Camp is dividing camp from the beach, for day long sunbathing we would advise to visit any other beach.

Prices are highest in camp Kalac, where two adults will for their stay, car, tent and electricity pay 27.40€. In all other camps you will pay less than 20€.

This time we did not have time  to visit camps Mindel and Potrina on the western side of Korcula.
