The Falkesteneiner Premium Camping Zadar, which is open all year round, will start its spring camping season on the first weekend in April. They will open the wellness with saunas, the heated hotel pool and provide themed animation for children and adults. The campsite also offers special prices for camping and renting mobile homes and glamping tents.

Campsites close to major cities are extremely popular. This is also the case for Zadar and the Falkenstiner Premium Camping Zadar, as guests like to explore the old part of the city.

If want to make your way from the campsite a little special, use the "barkajol" (a small boat rowed by a boatman) to shorten the way to the city center, and then visit the market, the Roman Forum, the church of St Donatus and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia. You can also climb the 56-metre-high bell tower.

When you're in the centre of Zadar, look out for Mr Goran, who sells "ucijak" - sam sort of Vicia faba on the street (usually somewhere near the main bridge). They are like corn in appearance and are thought to have come to Dalmatia from Portugal, or possibly by seafarers' voyages from as far away as South America. It is soaked in water and then in the sea for a few days before being used, so that it has a salty taste.

At sunset, the sea organ is a must-see spot, as it really is something special.

Falkesteneiner Premium Camping Zadar

This campsite in Zadar is one of the best in Croatia or even Europe. In addition to the sandy camping pitches, modern mobile homes and glamping tents from Slovenian manufacturer Adria Home are available in the rear of the Falkesteneiner Premium Camping Zadar.

You can rent a mobile home for 2, 4 or 6 people and a glamping tent for 6 people, all of which have their own kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area and terrace, and are air-conditioned for either heating or cooling.

The campsite is located right next to a pebbly beach with a walking path leading to the Puntamika peninsula, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the island of Ugljan.

The campsite has a restaurant serving delicious breakfasts, and from 4 April, the wellness area with saunas, a small heated outdoor pool and a fitness room will be open for adults. Families can use the heated swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) at the nearby hotel for a minimal extra charge, and there is also a larger spa area.

Prices for camping with the Avtokampi card in the period until 6 June start from € 27 - including two people + dog on either Blue or Sky Blue pitch with electricity. Prices on pitches closer to the sea start from € 70.

Mobile homes for rent in April and May range from €80 - €120 (depending on the number of people & the size of the mobile home). During the Easter and May holidays, prices are slightly higher: €105 - €150.

Rental prices for glamping tents for 6 people range from €110 - €130. The higher price applies for public holidays and bank holidays.

Themed animation weekends, wellness & culinary events

The Falkesteneiner Premium Camping Zadar will be organizing a number of events in April and May to add even more variety to your spring camping experience.

For families, the FUNtastic weekends will be the most attractive, with lots of themed entertainment for all family members. The activities are part of the hotel's Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik program. See the list of events:

Chill in - Tastes of Zadar

Enjoy the culinary events that will take place during the month of May in the on-site restaurant, with special children's menus.

Grill & Chill from 1.5. to 4.5.

An event for lovers of good barbecue, local wine and beer, with live music to add to the atmosphere. After the ranger animation, the kids will come to the mini grill, where there will also be mini burgers, roasted pizzas and sweet bananas.

Beer Fest from 9.5. to 11.5.

The weekend will be dedicated to a special offer of local beer brands Prvomaje, Brlog and Adriatic and a selection of grilled dishes, a creative workshop where you can create on a canvas while enjoying a glass of your favourite beer, a photo corner and live music. At the end of the day, they will organise a lantern walk and a sunset tour.

Burger Fest from 16.5. to 18.5.

For burger lovers, a weekend of great tastes will be prepared, including not only meat, but also vegetarian and vegan, and a DJ with the best hits from the 80s and 90s will provide a good atmosphere. For the kids, there will be a cookery workshop where they can make their own burger, plus sports games - table tennis, darts.

Wine & Cheese from 23.5. to 25.5.

The weekend will be dedicated to local delicacies such as cheeses and olive oil from Zampera Farm, wines from Velebna, Fiolić and Skaulja, all complemented by a barbecue offer ranging from classic meat dishes to Dalmatian seafood specialities. For adults, there will again be a painting workshop and games, and for children there will be pony rides.

Mini Chill-in from 30.5. to 1.6.

A weekend for the little ones, who will learn about nature, plant spices, have a picnic with Falky the mascot and a Masterchef cooking challenge in pizza and pastry baking. In addition, there will be family games, e.g. treasure hunt, penny baking, evening lantern walk. And of course, there will be plenty of grilled treats this weekend too.
