Ski resort Civetta is located on the south side of the Dolomites, between Alleghe and Mareson-Pecol. It is part of the Dolomiti Superski system and is a great choice for families with children. It boasts wide pistes and modern ski lifts, and there are also three campsites and some additional motorhome parking.
The Civetta ski resort has slopes around the mountain of the same name and connects Alleghe, Val di Zoldo, Palafavera and Selva di Cadore. The easiest access is by gondola from Alleghe, which is famous for its large lake, and the other access is from the Zoldo valley.
The ski resort has a total of just over 72 kilometres of beautifully groomed ski pistes suitable for the best skiers and beginners alike. The most famous is the 7 km long Gran Zuita slope, which takes you directly from the top of the piste at 2,100 metres above sea level to Alleghe, which means a 1,100-metre vertical drop.
There are 3 cable cars, 10 chairlifts and a few lifts in addition to the lifts. Last year, a new four-seater chairlift Delle Coste was built to connect the Pecol ski area with the Palafavera section, and in the 2024/2025 season, a new Valgranda ski park was built on the Zoldo section, offering a variety of freestyle tricks, and a speed-measuring track was added at the Grava chairlift. And with almost 300 snow cannons to keep the slopes snow-covered, you can book your holiday a year in advance without worry, as they guarantee snow from mid-December to March.
Night skiing is also available on part of the slopes of Val di Zoldo between 26.12. 20024 - do 29.3. 2025 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 19:30 and 23:00.

Civetta ski resort - Dolomites
In recent years ski resort Civetta has added more facilities for children, including a ski slope, a children's snow park with inflatable games and babysitting facilities in the Happy Park. For the slightly better skiers, there is a snow park with a number of jumps.
Unfortunately, the ski slopes in Civetta are not connected to the rest of the ski resorts in Dolomites, but it is possible to get to the other ski resorts by ski bus, the most popular of which is the nearby Marmolada ski resort, which offers the special pleasure of skiing from 3,270 metres above sea level. From Alleghe, the gondola to Marmolada is just 13 km away.
For cross-country skiers, there are also 40 km of cross-country ski trails in the Zoldo Valley, and an ice rink in Alleghe, so you can bring your skates.
You won't go hungry on the slopes, as each hill has its own chalet with a large terrace serving excellent coffee and gourmet delicacies. We recommend visiting the hut at the top of the slopes - Ristoro Belvedere - Cima Fertazza, where you have a beautiful view of the lake and the family team has been serving great food for decades, served in the restaurant's beautifully decorated indoor setting or on the large outdoor terrace.
The price of ski passes in the main ski season (22.12. - 6.1. & 2.2. - 15.3.) in Civetti is € 67 for adults, € 47 for children (2007 - 2016 years old) and € 61 for seniors (1958 years old and older). Children 2017 years old and younger have a free pass if they ski with their parents. In the other terms the prices are slightly lower e.g. adults € 62, children € 43 and seniors € 56.

Apartments and hotels near the Civetta ski resort
There are many family-run hotels and apartment rental options in both valleys around Civetta. The highest prices are, of course, from Christmas to New Year and in the second half of February, but accommodation is much cheaper in early December, January and mid-March.
In Val di Zoldo, there are a number of apartment houses and hotels near the ski slopes. The easiest way to find accommodation is on the website of the local PelmoTour agency - www.zoldo.info (mail: pelmotour@zoldo.info)
There are also apartments at the Camping Civetta right next to the slopes, but you need to book well in advance as accommodation books up quickly.

Winter camping and camper stop loactions
Both valleys have a campervan park and three campsites for winter camping.
In the Val di Zoldo, the Camping Civetta is located in Pecol, right next to the ski slope, and is open in winter from December to mid-April. It is a great location for skiers, as night skiing is also possible in this area.
Many pitches are reserved for flat-rate skiers, but there are 25-30 pitches available for other guests, so it's a good idea to call for a reservation before you arrive. In recent years, the central building with toilets and a children's playroom has been completely renovated, and there is also a ski equipment storage room for the whole resort.
The price for winter camping at Camping Civetta until 26.12. and from 7.1. onwards is 14 € per pitch with electricity, 12 - 13 € per person and 7 - 9 € per child. During the Christmas-New Year holidays 26.12. - 6.1. the price per night is € 57 and already includes 3 persons.
Additional offer in certain periods in case of minimum 3 nights stay and purchase of a 3-day ski pass:
- from 19.1. to 1.2. & from 9.3. to 16.3. additional 10% discount on camping and skiing
- from 30.11. to 21.12. & 5.1. to 18.1. additional 15% discount on camping and skiing
- from 16.3. to 30.3. an additional 20% discount on camping and skiing.

Winter holidays in Camping Civetta
Just a few kilometres further from Camping Civetta is Camping Palafavera (GPS 46.402142, 12.103167). Campsite is located 100 metres from the chairlift, at an altitude of 1,500 metres, and offers well-equipped pitches and a nice sanitary facility. The location is also very suitable for cross-country skiers, as there are cross-country skiing trails right next to the ski slope, as part of the biathlon centre. The price for two people is approx. 31.50 €, and 35 € during the New Year holidays.
The campsite itself also operates the Palafavera camper stop, which is just across the road (GPS 46.403090, 12.101358) and provides electricity, water and waste water on site - price €15 per day.
In another valley, at the beginning of Alleghe, the camping Alleghe Resort (GPS 46.395751, 12.008063) offers heated toilets and a nearby hotel with a wellness area (saunas, jacuzzi, massages), which can be used by camp guests at a discounted rate for an additional fee. The price for winter camping for 2 persons is approx. 39 €, and for New Year holidays 56 € (min. 6 nights). The location is 1.2 km from the lower gondola, and there is a ski bus stop right next to the campsite.
At the end of the site, near the lake, there is an unattended camper stop Alleghe (GPS 46.412664, 12.016344) - the price for a day's parking is € 8, and there is a bus stop right next to the car park for transport to the gondola, which is 1 km away.
