New campsite rating system

"Why does this campsite now only have a rating of 4.6? Yesterday it was over 9!" No, you're not mistaken: we've changed the way ratings are displayed on the Avtokampi portal. This means that campsites are now rated on a scale of 1 to 5 instead of 1 to 10. The calculation method remains the same: we add up all the ratings received, divide the result by the number of ratings, and thus obtain the average rating.

New scale, new rules

However, it is not just a change in the rating scale, but also a change in the rules for rating.

The biggest difference is that campsites where we offer reservations can now only be rated and reviewed by guests who have made a reservation through one of our portals and have actually stayed at the campsite. This will ensure that the ratings are truly authentic, as they will reflect the personal opinions of real guests, while at the same time preventing the manipulation of ratings.

After their stay, guests will receive a link in their email inbox through which they can submit their rating. They will also be able to submit a written comment, which must comply with our guidelines in order to be published; otherwise, only the numerical rating will be taken into account.

Below the campsites, you can already see numerous ratings and comments from guests, which have been translated into Slovenian using Google Translate. These are genuine ratings submitted over the past few years by guests who made and completed their reservations through our partner portal.

For campsites where we do not enable direct bookings, the system remains the same as before, only the rating scale has changed, and comments will now also be checked for compliance with our guidelines before publication.

Also, only comments that are less than 3 years old will be displayed for each campsite. This is because most campsites regularly improve their infrastructure and services, so older comments are often no longer relevant.
