What new features have been prepared for this year at the excellent Slovenian camp Sobec in Lesce?

Camping Sobec is one of the largest campsites in Slovenia and one of the best equipped. They have won numerous awards, including the Best Camping Adria award. Every year they provide numerous innovations and this year they have built a brand new sanitary facility, renovated the sports field, mini golf... The campsite is open from 18 April to 12 October, and the last weekend in August will once again be a family camping weekend. You are welcome to come camping in Slovenia!

Camping Sobec opened for Easter and is now ready for the main season, which starts with the German Pentecost holidays at the beginning of June.

This excellent campsite, one of the best in Slovenia, attracts more and more Slovenian guests each year to camp by the Sava River and in the shade of the pine trees. Traditionally, the largest number of campers at Camping Sobec comes from Germany and the Netherlands, while there are also more and more guests from the Czech Republic, Poland and Italy.

Campsite Sobec is big enough to spend a few days just at the campsite, as children can enjoy the playgrounds, the sports centre or ride a bike or scooter around the campsite. They will also be the first to swim in the lake in the middle of the campsite, although the water is around 12 degrees in April and warms up to a balmy 20 degrees in summer. The campsite also has a pebbly "beach" right by the river and there are very nice pitches for camping right next to it.

Otherwise, the campsite is an excellent starting point for excursions, e.g. by bicycle to Bled and to visit the Bled Vintgar gorge, or further on to the Radovna valley, or you can walk from the campsite to the nearby Talez hill, where there is also an excellent hut.

New features at the Camping Sobec

In recent years, the campsite has added new lakeside and riverside pitches, renovated toilets, beautified the bungalows and added glamping tent hire. Last year, a new bridge was built, as a result of the 2023 flood, and a new lakeside bar, reception, restaurant and luxury apartment above have been renovated.

However, this year they did not stand idly by during the winter. A brand new sanitary building 6 was built in the lower part of the campsite, and new private bathrooms were built in sanitary building 4. The new sanitary facility No 6 also has a dishwasher available free of charge for guests, which will make sure all the dishes are washed in just a few minutes after lunch.

As there was often congestion in front of the reception, the parking and check-in area has been redesigned, new directional signs have been installed around the campsite, a new footbridge has been built to access the islet and a new charging point for electric vehicles has been built.

The sports court for basketball, football and badminton has also been resurfaced to make activities even safer, and the mini-golf course has been renovated and a new playhouse has been built.

Camping, bungalows, glamping tents

Camping space at Camping Sobec is divided into several pitch types, e.g. Premium, Superior, Comfort. These are situated by the lake and the river, but the central part of the campsite is still unplotted and certain parts are for tent pitchers only.

An additional discount is offered to holders of the Avtokampi Camping Card:

- 15% discount on camping (price per person and pitch) in the periods 18.4. - 3.7. & 1.9. - 12.10. The discount is valid in case of min. 2 nights.

You can also choose to rent the renovated Alpine-style bungalows for 5 + 1 persons, which also have their own kitchen and bathroom and two bedrooms. Dogs are not allowed in the bungalows.

Glamping tents come in a variety of sizes - smaller bell tents are for 2 people (dogs are allowed in these tents) and have only one room and two beds, while larger tents for 4 people have two bedrooms, a terrace and a small kitchenette, with shared bathrooms (dogs are not allowed in the larger tents).

Family Weekend in campsite Sobec 2025

Every year at the beginning of autumn, in the 2025 season from 29 to 31 August, the Sobec campsite organises a family camping weekend, with additional entertainment, guided hikes, sports games, and in the evenings, guests gather around the fire, where bread, hot dogs and corn are baked, and there is also live music in the lakeside bar.
