There are more than 50 campsites in middle Dalmatia in Croatia. We have visited four nicest in Trogir, Split, Omis and Lokva Rogoznica.
Camping is in Dalmatia always something special as their beaches are the nicest and people from Dalmatia are among the most friendly ones. This is specially noticed in smaller campsites where owners welcome 
each guest with opened arms. We visited four campsites in the middle Dalmatia, more precisely in Split, Omis and Trogir.
We chose camping Stobrec on the southern side of town Split as our base. Camping Stobrec is perfect place to stop for guests that will appreciate tidy pitches and clean sanitary facilities. It is smaller camping that has opened its doors in year 2007. Its owner and his team every year do their best to prepare something new, to arrange the beach and add some new plants all over the camp. Last spring strong tornado did huge damage in camping and management made its best
that first campers enjoyed their atmosphere already couple of months later. For this they have been awarded with Naj Kamp Adria award for special achivments. German ADAC has given Stobrec 4.5 points (out of possible 5) which is great appreciation. Besides peaceful camping, Stobrec offers mobile homes for 2 as well as for 4+1 adults. Its special offer is mobile home for disabled guests.
Beach in camp is sandy, animation and children's playground are arranged. For season 2016 opening of new wellness centre with saunas and indoor swimming pools is planned.
We continued our way towards south and saw many smaller campsites on our way to town Omis, that is 20 km away. We stopped in camping Galeb which is located only 5min walk away from city centre of Omis. It offers 350 pitches, mostly on grassy foundation. Due to its sandy beach with numerous shells, camping is popular among families with small children. Mobile homes are located just next to the beach, while some more affordable are located close to the reception. For season 2016 camping Galeb will be richer for modern mobile homes with whirlpools at the terrace. Camping Galeb is great staring point for lovers of active holidays as river Cetina and many neighbouring hills provide great atmosphere for cy
cling, rowing, hiking and climbing.
Only 10 minutes drive away along the main road that follows the beach and we reached town Lokva Rogoznica, where we visited camping Sirena, that offer around 70 pitches arranged in terraces. Left part of the campsite is arranged for campers with trailers and campers, while the central part has arranged pitches under great oak trees. New is bungalow to rent that is set close to the reception. Beach here is diverse, smaller part is sandy, most of it stoned, while there is larger pebbled bay close by. Camp Sirena has smaller shop and delicious restaurant that serves fish and grill specialties, while fish picnics are organized regularly.
During our stay in Dalmatia we visited town Trogir and its campsite camping Rozac, that is located on the neighbouring island Ciovo. It is connected to the mainland with bridge that is pretty old and couses many traffic jams. New bridge is already being built so the access to Ciovo will be faster. Camping Rozac is arranged on smaller island and offer shaded pitches down to the beach. They have 25 pitches by the beach, about 90 camping places and 30 mobile homes for rental. We have to complement the modern sanitary facilities and excellent gastronomic offer - in beach bar and restaurant by the reception. Left part of the camp offer nice sandy beach that is loved by children, while right part is rocky and stoned. As this is smaller camp we advise to make an early reservation for camping in high season.
