For several years, there has been speculation about whether Camping Koversada in Vrsar would remain a naturist campsite. Now, Maistra has confirmed plans for a major renovation this winter, during which the camp will be divided into textile and naturist sections. Additionally, flat-rate rental camping pitches will no longer be available.

Camping Koversada, established in 1961, was the first naturist campsite in Europe. It is a diverse and well-known site, recognized for its island connected to the mainland by a bridge and its 5 km long, varied beach.
Campsite Koversada is managed by Maistra, which also operates other campsites around Vrsar and Rovinj, including Valkanela, Porto Sole, Amarin, Polari, and Veštar.

New features at Camping Koversada for 2025
In recent years, significant investments have been made to renovate various campsites, including some updates in Camping Koversada, focusing on pitch improvements, sanitary block renovations, and new mobile homes.
This winter, Koversada will undergo an even larger renovation, which will result in the division of the campsite into textile - Koversada Covered and naturist - Koversada Uncovered sections.
The textile section will be located at the entrance to the campsite, closer to Vrsar town, while the naturist section will be situated towards Lim Bay. The dividing line will run from sanitary block 13 to sanitary block 14, continuing south of the sports center, which will be part of the textile area, and extending to sanitary blocks 8 and 16.
By spring 2025, the new textile section of Koversada will feature 500 camping pitches, 141 new premium mobile homes, renovated sanitary facilities, a large restaurant based on the MaiEats concept, and a new entertainment and animation area.
In the naturist section of Camping Koversada, 470 camping pitches have already been renovated this year. A new restaurant following the MaiEats concept will be established, offering guests seasonal fresh dishes with an Istrian touch. Additionally, new sports and recreation areas will be developed.
In addition, there are plans to renovate the reception area and, in the coming years, to refurbish the villas and make a number of other minor improvements.
Another important update from Koversada is that the option for flat-rate agreements for pitches will no longer be available. Guests will be able to book pitches for extended stays through the regular reservation system and take advantage of discounts through camping cards or other promotional offers.
Prices for camping and mobile home rentals are not yet available, but all new information about new Camping Koversada will be posted in our news section and in the Koversada camp description > .
