Nacional park Plitvice lakes is one of the most known tourist locations in Croatia. Many lovers of camping are visiting them as well - there are some interesting campsites around.

Plitvice lakes are composed of 16 lakes that offer wonderful play of water - many waterfalls are falling from the upper to the lower lakes. Lakes are accessible all year long, though majority of guests come in summer months.

National park is composed of several kilometres of walking paths, among which many are arranged on wooden bridges. They offer several tours of different lengths across the park, it is as well discover them with tourist train and boat.

Among the most interesting ones are Gradine lake in the upper part, waterfall Mali Buk, 25m high cascades, lower lakes in 40m deep canyon and large waterfall that is with 78 meters the highest in Croatia.

Camping Plitvice as the closest to the entrance of the Nacional park

In the beginning of August new camping Plitvice opened its doors. They are located only 3km from the National park's entrance. It is modern campsite, opened all year long, offering arranged camping pitches and rental of mobile homes.

It is first camping in this part of Croatia with categorized 5 stars. They have built central building with reception on the ground floor and restaurant in the first floor at the camp's entrance.

On the 30 camping pitches they offer not only electricity and water, some also have sewage. Smaller part is reserved for camping guests with tents. There are two sanitary facilities building, both are adjusted for children and guests on wheelchairs, laundry is there as well.

Mobile homes are set on the edge of the campsite and offer comfortable stay of 4 adults and 2 additional kids on the foldable sofa in living room. There are 17 mobile homes that have two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and terrace. They have heating system so they are comfortable in cooler days as well. Dogs are allowed.​

Additional services are enriched with swimming pool complex that is composed of swimming and children's pool, children's playground and multi-functional playground for basketball, football and volleyball that will be finished by the end of September.

For discovering surroundings it is possible to rent a bike, close by is horse ridding centre. Adrenaline lovers will be happy to try zip-line close by.
