Four camps in/around Ljubljana

Many tourist that visit Ljubljana want to stay in camp, but the city can currently offer only one. It is located on the northern part of the city, around 6km from town centre. This is Camping Resort Ljubljana and is opened all year long. It can host up to 600 persons, coming with tents, caravans, campers and the ones wishing to stay in mobile home or bungalow. Sanitary facilities are modern and well equipped, supply station for campers is provided as well.

Second closest camp to Ljubljana is camp Smlednik in Medvode, which is about 20km from city centre. It can host up to 400 guests and welcomes also naturist guests. It is camp with all needed facilities, including shop, laundry, internet and lots of greenery.  Another camp that is perfect for stay during visiting Ljubljana is Autocamp Resnik, located next to medieval Kamnik, 26km from Ljubljana. It offers everything needed for comfortable camping, including numerous options for outdoor sports activities.

35km away from Ljubljana you will find Camp Alpe. It is small camp by river Kamniska Bistrica, at the foothills of funicular that takes you to the Velika Planina mountain. We recommend it to all lovers of hiking, mountain biking, climbing and peaceful holidays.

Local authorities are aware that Ljubljana would need supply station or at least parking places for campers to have a safe stay over a night.  At the moment over-night stay is possible only on gas station on the southern part of Ljubljana bypass road, but talks with various owners of the private lands that would be willing to host campers during the night continue.
