The beach Zlatni rat on the island of Brač is one of Europe's top five beaches in the opinion of the British daily newspaper The Daily Telegraph, which says that the sandy beaches stand out as one of the jewels of the Adriatic Sea. Apart from Zlatni rat, the British journalists were fascinated by several other Croatian beaches that they recommended to tourists. One of them is Usamljena plaža (lonely beach) near the beautiful Rovinj. As its name suggests, this natural pearl is ideal for those seeking peace, tranquility and relaxation in the unspoiled nature of Istria. On one of the most beautiful islands of the Dubrovnik archipelago lies one of the few sandy beaches in the south of Croatia. Hidden on the southeast side of Lopud and yet close enough to be reached on foot, Šunj provides an ideal hiding place for those who want to just enjoy the sun and sea. This is a beach enjoyed by nudists so other visitors are warned by the Telegraph that the nudist and "normal" part of the beach are not practically separated.

The islet Proizd, located near Vela Luka, enchanted British journalists who called it a geological miracle. With its rocky beaches, that sink deep into the turquoise sea and pristine nature it is ideal for ‘Robinson’ tourism.
