Slovenia Eco Resort opens camping pitches alongside glamping cabins

Slovenia Eco Resort near Kamnik is known for its wooden glamping homes, which are a copy of the shepherd's huts from the Velika Planina mountain. In early April, the glamping offer will be complemented by camping pitches, allowing guests with tents, camper vans and caravans to visit.

Slovenia Eco Resort is set right next to the Kamniska Bistrica River in village Godic, just 3 km north of Kamnik. A few years ago, wooden glamping homes were built there, and this year 15 more camping pitches will be added, all close to the river and equipped with electricity, water and drainage.

Guests can rent smaller homes for 2 people and larger ones for 4-5 people, which are a copy of the shepherd's cottages on the Velika Planina. The larger houses have two bedrooms, a kitchen and a private bathroom, while the smaller ones have only a sleeping area and shared bathrooms.

Dogs are also welcome in the resort and are allowed in the glamping houses.

The resort also offers a wellness centre with sauna and massages, a restaurant serving a variety of local dishes and seafood specialities, and guests can climb the 18-metre-high tower and visit the wooden church. 

In summer, it is pleasant to enjoy the river itself, and a prefabricated swimming pool has been built so that guests can take a dip.

Children will love the small petting zoo with farm animals (rabbits, sheep, donkeys, baby goats, ducks, deer, reindeer), and there is also a garden where organic vegetables are available.

The location of the Slovenia Eco Resort is excellent for excursions in the surroundings, from Velika planina (gondola or by car and then on foot) to Kamnik Bistrica and Kamnik, and there are many marked cycle paths, especially the one along Kamniska Bistrica, which is also suitable for children.

On Friday, 4 April, after 13:00, 15 newly developed camping pitches will be inaugurated at the Slovenia Eco Resort, which, thanks to their excellent facilities, will be used mainly for caravans and motorhomes.

Guests arriving for camping will have access to the sanitary facilities with toilets and showers that have been used by guests of the smaller glamping sites.
