St. Jacob, St. Ana and St. Christopher are the three saints during whose feast days from 25th to 27th July, Rab returns to its medieval past. The medieval summer fair in Rab ('Rapska Fjera') is unique in Croatia and based on the historical heritage which dates from 1364 when municipal feasts were proclaimed in honor of King Louis the Great of Hungary, who freed Rab from the Venetians and in honor of St. Christopher the patron of the town of Rab.

Participants of the event are craftsmen and artisans of the island of Rab, who are actively engaged in traditional trades ensuring their existence as these were the trades which have existed since the Middle Ages as well as artistic associations and cultural societies that foster traditional values.

Competitions in the ancient games of chivalry are shown in the magnificent Rab Crossbow Tournament, where knights compete for the award traditionally presented by the Duke of Rab. The atmosphere is enhanced by musicians and flag bearers, and all participants dressed in medieval costumes can join the great procession through the streets. Through the The Rab Fjera the citizens of Rab revive the memory of the appearance of their city while celebrating their freedom and an independent municipality.

The town of Rab is the cultural center of pre-Roman times marked by the contours of the four bell towers, rich historical heritage and long and pleasant walking trails. It padovais a town with 121 year tradition of organized tourism and the center of the island of the same name with the landscape of amazing diversity and variety of beautiful beaches.

Camping on island Rab

On Rab you can visit one of two camps. Closest to the main city is camp Padova III, which is a nice half an hour walk along the promenade away. It is reachable also with boat taxi.

Second camp, San Marino is located in city Lopari on the north-east side of the island and is especially known after its 1.5 km long very fine sandy beach, that is know as 'Paradise beach'.
