Camping Beli gaber is a new camp, which was opened in June 2022. It is located at the end of the village of Vrh in the Loka Valley, only 1 kilometer away from Snežnik Castle.
One of the most beautiful paths past the camp is towards the Croatian sea, which is especially used by motorcyclists due to its picturesqueness and to avoid crowds. The campsite is just right away from the village to give you the feeling of being housed in the middle of the woods.
The central part of the Beli gaber camp is arranged in terraces where you can set up large tents. In addition, there are many small spaces in different parts of the 1.5 ha area, where you can hide with a tent for two. Don't worry about cooking equipment, as there is a shared summer kitchen with 4 hotplates. For cars there is a large parking lot just below the terraces.
NEW - from mid-July 2023, you can also rent a wooden house for two people.
Electricity for the entire camp is arranged through solar panels, so it is possible to charge phones, computers in the common area under the hayrack.
For all of you who do not enjoy sleeping too much under the tent canvas, but like the atmosphere of staying in the camp and nature, we have arranged sleeping on ordinary beds. The space is arranged in smaller intimate corners, where 2 to 4 people can sleep in each. A total of 10-15 people can sleep in the room. Also ideal for renting an entire space for families vacationing together.
Natural resources do not allow for the offer for car owners, which includes water and electricity connections. Nevertheless, in the lower part of the camp and in the parking lot, they also offer parking for smaller motorhomes.
It is also possible to arrange breakfast (bread, eggs, dairy products from a nearby farm).
The owners of the camp, Mateja and Beno, want to offer guests a variety of experiences. Mateja is a local guide, so she will be happy to advise you on what to see nearby - from Snežnik Castle, Križna jama, Cerknica Lake and Rakov Škocjan. A special experience is a visit to the castle park with Countess Greta, a visit to Babno Polje as the coldest place, a climb to Snežnik and other adventures… There are plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking or just a simple "brainstorming off".

Res prijeten majhen kamp, lastniki so zelo prijazni, pripravljeni deliti nasvete za raziskovanje bližnje okolice. Kozolec z večjim prostorom, mizami in klopmi ter skupno kuhinjo je odličen – v miru si lahko pripraviš zajtrk/kosilo/večerjo, kar pride prav posebej tistim s šotorom in v primeru dežja! Posoda, pribor in skodelice so na voljo v kampu, lahko pa na dveh plinskih kuhalnih mestih (vsako z dvema ognjema) seveda uporabljate lastno posodo. Na voljo je tudi hladilnik, kjer lahko čez noč pustite s seboj prinešeno hrano. Vsekakor to ni prostor za žur – gre za miren kamp za ljubitelje narave. Trgovina in restavracija sta v Starem trgu pri Ložu – če ste s kolesom oz. na "lastni" pogon računajte na to, da si kaj za pod zob kupite pravočasno.
Glede na to, da je odprt šele od letošnjega leta (2022), se trava na prostorih za kampiranje še ni razrasla, tako da je ob dežju malce blata, a verjamem, da bo to do prihodnje sezone narava uredila sama.
