Slovenia does not have Superplatz camping yet
ADAC awards best European campsites with title Superplatz. These are the ones that got mark 5 and there are 113 Superplatz campsites around Europe. Among them you will not find Slovene campsite, but are there seven Croatian ones: CampingIN Park Umag, camping Lanterna, FKK campsite Valalta, camp Val Saline, camping Krk, camping Straško and camping Zaton.
Slovene campsites got together mark 3.18 that is a bit better than last years average which was 3.14 points. In comparison, Croatian campsites average points are 3.58, while their best campsites in Istria received 4.01 and in Kvarner 3.81 points.
ADAC specially greeted well organized thermal campsites that besides swimming in indoor and outdoor swimming pools most other offer as well great organized animation. In Slovene campsites you will be able to choose among various sport activities, especially if you choose camps along the rivers. It is possible to paddle with kayaks, rafts or fishing. Some camps are as well marked as winter campsites opened all year long - Menina, Danica, Kekec Ljubljana Resort. Camping Spik should have that badge as well, but the editors forgot to add it (it is connected to ski resort Kranjska Gora).
Camping Terme Catez as best campsite in Slovenia
ADAC believes that best Slovenian campsite is camping Terme Catez, that received mark 4.5 points. The same points were given to camp Natura in Termah Olimia, but Catez received higher marks in three categories: size of the sanitary facilities, great offer of children's playgrounds and sport facilities as well as for excellent animation. Camp Natura received great points especially for sanitary facilities and swimming pools, offer for free time and animation was exposed as well.
In both camping you will greet some novelties this season. In Camping Catez new pitches will be arranged, mobile homes, glamping tents and camper supply station arranged. Camping Natura will be richer for new climbing adventure centre on the water that will supplement existing sport facilities.
Still very well points - 4 - were awarded to five Slovenian campsites. It is great to read that camping Spik already in its first year since opening received so many points along with compliments for tidiness of sanitary facilities, pitches and wellness offer. The same points - 4 - were awarded as well to neighbouring campsites Bled and Sobec.
