ASCI awards for best campsites in Slovenia and Croatia

Dutch camping portal ASCI is one among most well-known ones in Europe. This sping they prepared voting for best European campsites. More than 50.000 camping lovers have selected and awarded best campsites in different categories.

ASCI is well-known around Europe, mostly due to the camping guide for European campsites and their camping card. They have been operating since 1965 and have almost 250 employees.

This year they decided to give voice to the camping lovers as well - their inspectors are regularly visiting campsites - to vote for best campsite in each category, for each country separately.

ASCI has a database of almost 10.000 campsites all over the Europe and 120 of them have been awarded this year. Five of them are coming from Slovenia, nine of them are located in Croatia.

Awarded campsites in Slovenia

Campsites in Slovenia are, in comparison to campsites around Europe, relatively small, therefore they were not represented in all the categories.

Campsite at best location - camping Menina, Recica ob Savinji

Best cycling and walking campsite - camping Koren, Kobarid

Most beautiful campsite pool - camping Terme 3000, Moravske Toplice

Best campsite restaurant - camping Sobec, Lesce

Special award for "Personality Award Slovenia" was given to Ms Lidija Koren - president of the camping association and owner of camping Koren in Kobarid.
