Camper stop Inzaghi Idrija is a new location for campers opened in 2022. Idrija gets a modern motorhome parking and the location is behind the Spar store at the beginning of the city, where they arrange 8 parking spaces with all the necessary supplies (electricity, water, wastewater and faeces). Water is available from April to November, but closed during winter.

The official name of the motorhome stop is after the long-time mining director, Count Franz Johann von Inzaghi, who ran the largest mercury mine in the Habsburg Monarchy between 1764 and 1791.

Idrija offers tourists interesting tours and activities, due to its rich history imbued with the extraction of mercury. Idrija was therefore inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012.

Beneath the city streets lies the second largest mercury mine in the world, which has driven the development of this mining city for 500 years. Visit Antonijev rov, which is arranged as a museum, and take a walk through the oldest part of the Idrija mine in the light of cave lamps. With a little luck, even the mischievous cave dwarf Perkmandlc may cross your path.

We also recommend a visit to Gewerkenegg Castle, which houses the best European museum of industrial and technical heritage, the Franciscan shaft with restored mining machinery, Idrija kamst, smelter, klavze, mine grain warehouse and mine theater, Idrija mining house ...

Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will visit the Idrija Geopark, see the Wild Lake, water barriers - klavze and visit the Idrija countryside.

Idrija is known as the capital of bobbin lace, and local inns will serve you Idrija zlikrofi and other delicacies.
