From 11th to 15th January 2012 Dutch city Utrecht hosted tourist fair – Vakantiebeurs – where all major tourist destinations presented their offers. ANWB at the same time awarded best European camps. This is one of the largest fairs in this part of Europe and this year’s partner was Croatia.
As Dutch are well known by the nature-loving and active holidays most of the exhibitors presented their ways of spending holidays and additional activities people can do while staying there. Some glamping options were presented as well, but these kind of options are still found in quite few camps around Europe.
ANWB awarded best European camps
The only Slovenian camp nominated was camp Vili from Tolmin, that was awarded with nomination as best charming camp. Unfortunately, camp was given to camp Seiser Alm from Italy, but also the nomination itself is very supportive for Slovenian camps.
ANWB listed 34 Slovenian camps in their catalogue, among which Camp Bled was given the best evaluation (8,4 points out of 10). Also Campc Sobec (8,2 points) and Camp Ljubljana Resort got pretty high marks (8,1 points). Other camps with great evaluation are Danica in Bohinj (8), camp Kekec from Maribor (7,9 points), Terme Catez and Terme 300 got 7,6 points.
This Dutch camping guide provides also information on 84 Croatian camps, out of which 19 were evaluated with 8 points or more. By their opinion the best camp is Zaton from Nin by Zadar (8,8 points), FKK Camp Ulika from Porex (8,7 points) and Camping Strasko from Novalja (8,6 points). On fourth place one can find camps Lanterna, Kanegra, Politin and Stobrec from Split with 8,5 points.
In category of smaller charming camps that are located on nice and peaceful location, ANWB emphasized next camps: camps on Bol at the island Brac, camp Kate in Mlini, camp Nevio in Orebic, camp Rozac in Trogir, camp Ulika in Rovinj, camp Rio in Sv. Filip i Jakov and camp Slapic in Duga Resa.
