Among tourists many would probably wrongly thing that camping is popular mostly among ones that can not afford the holidays in hotels. But contrary. In the camps you will meet people that would easily reserve an apartment in the best hotel in Slovenia or Croatia, but they prefer other way of spending their holidays – right next to the sea in the shadow and nice smell of the pine trees. Surely you can not find the same level of comfort as in the hotels, but closeness of the sea, fresh air, peace and touch with the nature are the reasons for spending the holidays in camp.

In the camps you will meet people that would easily reserve an apartment in the best hotel in Slovenia or Croatia, but they prefer other way of spending their holidays – right next to the sea in the shadow and nice smell of the pine trees. Surely you can not find the same level of comfort as in the hotels, but closeness of the sea, fresh air, peace and touch with the nature are the reasons for spending the holidays in camp.In the last years finally also the owners of the Slovene camps realized that every year’s investments in the camp facilities (sanitary blocs, sport facilities, reception, shop, restaurants, mobile homes), adding new services, animation and new horticulture that will enhance the atmosphere in the camp, are necessary for being competitive at the market.
To adjust to the new guests many camps in Slovenia decided to offer new mobile homes to satisfy also the most demanding guests, who want to enjoy the nature, but prefer not staying the tents. Mobile homes are generally intentioned for 4 to 6 people that can sleep in two bedrooms and two persons on the additional beds in living room.
In Slovenia you can find at least 68 camps, which offer differs to a great extend. If the camps in the seaside are favored by the sea lovers and friends of night life, camps around the cities Bovec, Kobarid in Tolmin are mostly visited by the sport lovers by the river Soča, cyclists along Nadiža and waterfalls of Koritnica.

We have compared for you 14 camps in Slovenia. In order that the data would be as useful as possible, we have compared the prices of packages – it is a price of one night in the high season for a family (two adult persons and two children of 4 and 11 years) with car, tent and an electricity connection. Tourist tax was not included.
