It is important to note that as of 1.1.2023 Croatia is part of Schengen Area and there are no more border controls. They are still active with countries that are not part of the EU. Also, please keep in mind that there might be temporary controls on Schengen borders due to increased risks. During summer months traffic is intensified on Croatian motorways, especially on weekends due to the higher number of arrivals/departures. The average temperature during the coldest period of the year is around 8°C and it reaches 29°C in the warmest period. The warmest months are June, July and August, and the coldest December, January and February. The bathing season runs from May to October, and the sea is the warmest in July and August.
