Basic information

Campsite Zaga (sawmill in translation) is laying in the village Gorenja Žaga, 1km away from the city Kostel and 150m from the river Kolpa. Camp Žaga is the first camp in the higher flow of the river, which makes Kolpa the cleanest up here, and is easily approachable for caravans and campers; at the same it is the calmest camps along Kolpa and remote from the traffic.

You will find village Gorenja Žaga if you take the road Ljubljana – Kočevje – Delnice and approximately 1km before the border crossing Petrina turn left as you see the sign “Žaga”. Camp is very peaceful and for that reason many guests are returning every year.

Kolpa is here great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, rafting and fishing. It is becoming increasingly popular for guests wanting to have a peaceful, relaxed and active holidays at the same time. We recommend also a visit of the Kostel castle.

In summer time you can rent roofed place for social events, which can hosts up to 40 persons. They also have volleyball court, swings for the youngest and tents for renting.

    Camp za tiste, ki želijo mir. V bližini ni trgovine, gostilne, hrano je treba imeti s seboj. Kolpa je blizu, v tem delu bolj mrzla, super za ohladitev v vročem poletju. Lokacija campa v redu za sprehode in kolesarjenje, supanje, vožnjo s kanujem. Psi so v campu dovoljeni. Edini resen minus je to, da v WC ni toaletnega papirja. Drugače so sanitarije vedno čiste. ​​

    revščina, kaj več nimam reč.
    prijazni lastniki a to je tudi vse.
    od turizma v tem delu kolpe niti sledu.

    srednja žalost, kolpa topla polna kač, to je tudi vse.
    vse so lastniki ob vodi sprivatizirali, tam ko lahko prideš do kolpe pa kamenje in kače..razočarana.drugo leto greva nižje ob kolpi ali na morje.

    z punco nisva bila preveč navdušena....ni trgovine,ni gostilne,ni..razen narave ničesar, ob kolpi pa vse privat table..sva šla dalje na morje, kolpa premrzla v tem delu.​​

    ni vsak za gostinca, narava je vse kar nudijo pa še to bi radi računali..miren kamp, to je tudi vse, miren ker ni gostov.​​

    Glede na zvezdico, ima kamp urejene sanitarije (nima plastičnih WC kot drugje), na voljo elektrika, v tem delu je pač Kolpa malo hladnejša, prednosti - miren kraj, možnost kolesarjenja, potepanja, možnost najema kanuja. Priporočam za aktivne raziskovalce. Pred več dnevnim taborenjem je potrebno priskrbeti malo večjo zalogo hrane. V primerjavi vzdolž Kolpe od Vinice proti Fari - eden boljših.​​
